As awareness of sustainability grows, the apparel industry is also seeking designs that take garment recycling into account as part of efforts toward a circular society.​ In particular, there is a strong demand for using only PET as a material to avoid the need for sorting during recycling, and we are promoting the use of PET zippers for polyester recyclers.​
Both PET and PBT are polyesters. The PET material has higher strength, while the PBT material is easier to dye.
